I'm Kelly Larson and I am the proud owner of two design brands: Waverly & 8th, my Etsy shop that specializes in custom portraits and invitations, and Kellabell9, the name you'll find on all sorts of nerdy t-shirts sold on sites like Threadless, Woot, Redbubble, DesignbyHumans, and Teepublic.

 

How'd I get here? Well, I graduated from Syracuse University in 2003 with a degree in Surface Pattern Design. I, like more than half of my graduating class, immediately packed my bags and headed to NYC in search of my dream job. After my friends and I got a shoebox apartment on the Upper East Side (3 girls, one bathroom - I don’t recommend it), I was lucky enough to snag a job working for a company that managed some of my favorite designers' intimate lines, including Betsey Johnson, Oscar de la Renta, and Lilly Pulitzer.

 

The following years brought a ton of amazing experiences both professionally and personally, including getting married (yay), traveling around the country (FYI Alabama is HOT, Minneapolis is freezing), adopting two amazing bulldogs (the greatest), and starting my own business (I'm the best boss I've ever had)! These days you'll find me in tornado alley– that's right, I now live in fabulous OKC. Oh, the things we do for love... So, that's my life!
